Patna: Kumhrar MLA Sanjay Kumar Gupta on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction work at the Saidpur canal and reviewed its progress and quality.
During his visit, Gupta also inaugurated two high-mast lights and a modern public toilet in Ward 42 of the Kumhrar Assembly constituency. In Ward 43, he launched a new road project along with two additional high-mast lights.
While inspecting the canal, Gupta stressed the importance of strictly following prescribed construction standards and ensuring high-quality work.
He noted that the monsoon is expected to arrive around June 15 and instructed officials to complete the concrete work before then. He also directed that proper barricading be installed on both sides of the canal, in accordance with standards, to ensure the smooth flow of water.
The MLA instructed officials from the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUDCO) and the executing agency not to show any negligence in the work. He emphasised that the project must be completed on time and with high quality so that local residents can receive maximum benefit.
