Team A Triumphs in BCA Women’s Under-15 Cricket Tournament

Patna: In the BCA Women’s Under-15 Cricket Tournament, organized under the aegis of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Team A secured a spectacular victory on Monday, thanks to the all-round performances of Pratibha Saini (127 runs, 2 wickets) and Akshara Gupta (74 runs, 4 wickets). Team A defeated Team C by 145 runs.

For Team A, Pratibha Saini played a brilliant innings of 127 runs off 95 balls, hitting 19 fours and 1 six, while Akshara Gupta scored 74 runs off 55 balls, including 13 fours.

Match Summary: Team A vs Team C

In the match held at Moinul Haq Stadium, Team C won the toss and elected to field. Team A’s opening pair, Pratibha Saini and Akshara Gupta, got off to a fantastic start, forming a partnership of 146 runs. The first wicket to fall was that of Akshara Gupta, who scored 74 runs in 55 balls. Despite a middle-order collapse, Pratibha Saini held one end and scored a century, taking Team A’s total to 264 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 35 overs. Prachi Kumari contributed 16 runs, and extras added 32 runs to the total.

For Team C, Kumari Tapasi took 2 wickets, while Babli, Prachi Singh, Khushi Yadav, and Tapasya Kashyap took one wicket each.

In response, Team C was all out for 119 runs in 27 overs, struggling against the excellent bowling of Akshara Gupta. Team C’s top order collapsed, but in the lower order, Rakhi Chanden scored 18, Nitya Kumari remained unbeaten on 25, and Sanskriti Rukhyar scored 19 runs. Extras contributed 33 runs.

Akshara Gupta took 4 wickets, and Prachi Kumari claimed 2 wickets for Team A.
