Patna: In the BCA Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy, under the auspices of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Team D secured a convincing 8-wicket victory over Team B in a match played on Monday.

Team B won the toss and opted to bat first at the branch ground in Rajendranagar, the capital of Patna. The opening pair of Kritika Kanak and Annu Singh Kushwaha failed to score, returning to the pavilion without opening their account. Annu Gupta led the middle order, guiding the team to a total of 188 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 35 overs. Annu Gupta played a stellar innings, scoring 74 runs off 89 balls, including 14 fours and 1 six. Deepa Kumari (16), Annu Kumari (18), Anjali Kumari (21), and Mithali Raj (10) also contributed to the total, with 42 runs coming from extras.

For Team D, Sakshi Kumari, Chaitali Sanjit, and Jasmit Prakash claimed 1 wicket each, while Riya Kumari and Khushi Kumari took 2 wickets apiece.

In response, Team D had a solid start, with openers Sneha Prakash and Anvesha Singh building a strong partnership of 79 runs. Sneha Prakash scored 29 runs off 44 balls before being dismissed. Anvesha Singh contributed 45 runs off 55 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes, before falling short of her half-century. Following Anvesha’s departure, Varsha Upadhyay (53 not out) and Archana Kumari (27 not out) guided Team D to victory with an unbeaten partnership. Varsha Upadhyay smashed 8 fours and 2 sixes in her innings, while Archana Kumari hit 4 fours and 1 six.
