Patna: Patna Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the Patliputra Police Station area with the arrest of a notorious thief, Dinesh Kumar, alias Langda. This individual had amassed property worth crores of rupees through theft over the years. Known for his repeated offences, Dinesh has been arrested multiple times in various police station areas of Patna, and numerous criminal cases have been registered against him. Following his arrest, the police have made several major revelations, and an investigation into his assets is now underway.
According to police sources, Dinesh Kumar operated alone, executing thefts across multiple areas in Patna and stealing property worth crores. Originally a resident of the Khusrupur Police Station area, he was currently residing on rent in Khemnichak. Over the past 24 years, Dinesh has been implicated in dozens of theft cases. After committing each crime, he would return to his home unnoticed, carefully maintaining anonymity.
Dinesh preferred to carry out his thefts during the evening hours when most residents were away from their homes, taking advantage of the opportunity. Despite fabricating numerous stories to evade arrest, the police persisted in their efforts to apprehend him. Now, with his capture, authorities have unveiled dozens of pending cases against him, with expectations of further significant revelations.
Speaking about the case, Patliputra Police Station Chief, Rajkishore Kumar, stated, “This thief had been committing thefts for many years and was absconding. His arrest has helped us expose numerous theft cases in various areas of Patna. Currently, we are investigating his properties, which could lead to further critical findings.”
