Patna: Odisha showcased a commanding performance to defeat Bihar in the Women’s Under-19 One Day Trophy match held at Alur Cricket Stadium-II, Bengaluru. Bihar batted first but struggled against Odisha’s disciplined bowling attack, managing only 83 runs in 38.2 overs.
Akshara Gupta and Khushi Gupta were the top scorers for Bihar, each contributing 19 runs, but the rest of the lineup failed to make an impact. Odisha’s Priyadarshini was the standout bowler, claiming three crucial wickets to dismantle Bihar’s batting order.
Chasing a modest target of 84, Odisha delivered a confident batting display. Archana Raut remained unbeaten on 30 off 31 balls, while Muduli anchored the innings with 31 not out from 68 balls. Bijaya added 12 not out off 37 balls, sealing the victory in 23.2 overs with eight wickets in hand.
With this win, Odisha strengthened their position in the tournament, showcasing their superior bowling and composed batting.
