Patna: NMCC secured a convincing six-wicket victory against Kumar Club in the Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament held on Saturday at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium.
After winning the toss, Kumar Club chose to bat first. Their innings were anchored by AS Ravi, who scored a commendable 50 runs. However, the team could only manage 129 runs before being bowled out in 20 overs. NMCC’s bowlers dominated the innings, with Kumar Shan leading the charge by claiming three wickets for 18 runs. Vikas Kumar also impressed with figures of 2/12.
In reply, NMCC chased down the target effortlessly, reaching 130/4 in just 15.1 overs. Key contributions came from Abhishek Kumar, who scored 35 runs, and Vikas Krishna, who added 29 runs to the total. Abhishek Kumar’s all-round performance, which included a wicket and vital runs, earned him the Player of the Match award. The award was presented by PR Srivastava, President of Kumar Club.
