Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stepped up its outreach campaign for the upcoming Bankipur Assembly by-election on Saturday, with NDA-backed candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha conducting an extensive door-to-door campaign across several localities, including Junction Mandal, Narendra Bharti Mandal, Purandarpur Devi Sthan and Golghar Mandal, where he sought the support and blessings of residents while highlighting the party’s development agenda.
The campaign began at Gandhi Maidan, where Sinha, accompanied by Bihar minister Ram Kripal Yadav, interacted with morning walkers and local residents. He later joined MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia for a door-to-door campaign in Narendra Bharti Mandal, meeting residents across several neighbourhoods. At Purandarpur Devi Sthan and adjoining areas, he also held interactions with local citizens, women and young people, outlining the BJP government’s achievements and its vision for the development of Bankipur.
Speaking during the campaign, Sinha said the people of Bankipur had consistently supported development, good governance and positive politics. He said the warmth, valuable suggestions and trust shown by residents reflected their desire to ensure that the pace of development in the constituency continued uninterrupted.
He said public service, dedication and commitment to people’s welfare had always been the BJP’s identity and remained the party’s greatest strength. According to Sinha, the BJP had consistently treated politics as a means of public service.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country was achieving new milestones in development, while Bihar was progressing under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Bankipur, he added, was an integral part of this development journey and the BJP remained committed to making the constituency more developed, secure and modern in the coming years.

Sinha said the enthusiastic response from voters indicated that Bankipur was once again prepared to back the BJP. He accused the Opposition of engaging in politics based on misinformation, while asserting that the BJP was contesting the election on the basis of development and public trust. According to him, voters had made up their minds to support the continuation of development works and good governance.
Appealing to voters, Sinha urged them to press button number 02 on the electronic voting machine (EVM), corresponding to the lotus symbol, on polling day on July 30 to support the BJP’s agenda of development, trust and good governance.
Expressing confidence in the outcome, he said the people of Bankipur would once again create history by ensuring a decisive victory for the BJP, reaffirming their faith in politics centred on development, national interest and public service. He added that the blessings of the people and the dedication of party workers remained the BJP’s greatest strength and would help realise its vision of a developed, secure and prosperous Bankipur.
