Patna, May 20: Under the aegis of the All Bihar Chess Association, the Lakhisarai District Chess Association is organizing the Bihar State Senior Chess Championship starting from June 24. The championship will take place at Khel Bhawan, located at Gandhi Maidan, Lakhisarai.

A total cash prize of Rs 30,000 will be awarded in this Swiss system chess tournament, which will be played over nine rounds. The last date for entry is June 20. The team selected based on this championship will represent Bihar in both the National Chess Championship and the National Team Chess Championship.
