Patna, May 20: Former Union Minister and BJP candidate for the Patna Sahib parliamentary constituency, Ravi Shankar Prasad, engaged with young athletes during a sports dialogue programme at the Sakha ground in Rajendra Nagar on Monday. Hundreds of players and sports enthusiasts interacted with the former minister during the event.

Kumhrar MLA Arun Kumar Sinha initiated the event by throwing the ball, while Ravi Shankar Prasad, batting at the other end, inaugurated the program with a swing of the bat. In his address, Prasad highlighted that sportsmanship embodies patriotism. He shared his passion for table tennis, noting that he had been a dedicated player since childhood and had always championed sports development during his university years.

Coach Santosh Kumar welcomed and honoured Ravi Shankar Prasad and Arun Kumar Sinha with bouquets. The event was conducted and organised by Ashish Sinha, a former Ranji player and past president of the Patna University student union. Several national and state-level players were also honoured during the occasion.
