
Patna: In the second match of the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy at Stumps Cricket Ground, Hyderabad, Bihar delivered a commanding performance to defeat Sikkim by ten wickets. Sikkim, choosing to bat first after winning the toss, were bowled out for a modest total of 90 runs in 29.1 overs.
Bihar’s bowlers were in fine form, with Vasudev taking 4 wickets, Tejaswi Yadav claiming 3, Badal Kumar picking up 2, and Suman Kumar adding 1 to the tally. Sikkim’s top scorer was Adnan with 47 runs, while Karan, Sungfun, and Inzamamullah contributed 10, 11, and 5 runs respectively.
In reply, Bihar chased down the target with ease, reaching 91 runs without loss in just 10.4 overs. Captain Md Alam led from the front with an unbeaten 58, while Ayush Raj supported him with 29 not out, securing a comprehensive ten-wicket victory for Bihar. Bihar will now face Madhya Pradesh on 8th October in their next fixture.
