Mumbai: Vivo launched the V80 smartphone in India on October 6, 2026, at its Vivo NEXT 2026 event. The device features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 7,200mAh battery, the largest ever in the V-Series lineup.
The V80 succeeds the Vivo V70 and is positioned as a premium device for mobile content creators. It was announced alongside the Vivo S2 FE and the foldable Vivo X Fold 6.
Display and Battery
The 6.59-inch AMOLED screen offers a resolution of 2750×1260 pixels and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. It delivers a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits and covers the P3 wide color gamut.
The 7,200mAh battery supports 90W wired FlashCharge. Vivo says this is the largest battery ever fitted to a V-Series phone.
Performance and Software
Powering the V80 is Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The phone ships with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It is the first V-Series device to run OriginOS 7 out of the box, based on Android 17. Vivo promises six years of security updates.
Camera System
The rear camera setup is co-engineered with ZEISS and includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
A 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with autofocus sits on the front. The phone supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps and offers three cinematic color profiles.
Design and Durability
The V80 measures 7.79mm in thickness and weighs 210 grams. It has a high-strength aluminum alloy frame and a cold-carved glass rear finish.
The device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It is available in Stellar Black, Horizon Blue, and Sunrise Anthem colors.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo V80 is priced at ₹62,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, ₹69,999 for 8GB+256GB, and ₹79,999 for 8GB+512GB.
It will go on sale from October 13, 2026, through Flipkart, Amazon, the Vivo online store, and partner retail outlets. Launch offers include a 10 percent instant cashback or exchange bonus and 100GB of Google One storage.
