BCCI-appointed selectors oversee selection process
The selection trials for the Ranji and Under-23 teams were conducted under the supervision of selectors invited by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The selectors assessed the players on their performance, technical ability, fitness, discipline and ability to perform under match conditions.
The players were given opportunities to showcase their skills in batting, bowling, fielding and other aspects of the game.
The BCA had released the list of players for the camp in advance, and the players took part in the selection process on the basis of the list. The final squads for the Ranji and Under-23 teams will be selected based on their performances and the selectors’ assessment.
The Under-23 selection process was held over two days, October 5 and 6, while the Ranji selection trial was conducted on October 6.
