By Neeraj Kumar

Patna: These days, numerous incidents of bridge collapses are coming to light in Bihar. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi believes there is a deep conspiracy behind these continuous incidents. He suggests that someone might be orchestrating these events with the intention of defaming the government.

Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed concern over the frequency of bridge collapses, suggesting that poor materials might have been used in their construction. However, he questioned why the bridges weren’t collapsing a month ago and why they are now. He speculates that there might be a deliberate attempt to tarnish the government’s reputation. He said this while talking to reporters in Gaya.

Despite the collapses, the government is taking strict action against the contractors and engineers responsible. Efforts are being made to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

Manjhi also criticized the opposition for the disruption in Parliament over the NEET paper leak. He emphasized that creating chaos or making baseless allegations won’t help, highlighting that both the Supreme Court and the Government of India are taking the issue seriously.

The Bihar government is taking stringent measures, evident from the numerous arrests and raids conducted. The government is committed to exposing the truth and taking appropriate action, ensuring that such irregularities do not happen in the future.

Earlier, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi received a grand welcome in Gaya, where he was greeted with flower garlands by his supporters. He met with workers and discussed various issues.

Significant incidents of bridge collapses include the collapse of the bridge over the Bakra river in Araria on June 18, a bridge in Siwan on June 22, another in Motihari on June 23, and yet another in Kishanganj on June 26. Additionally, the girder of a bridge in Madhubani was washed away on June 26.
