Patna: The grand inaugural ceremony of a Teachers’ Rights Convention, organised by the Patna district unit of the Bihar Panchayat-Nagar Primary Teachers’ Association, was held at the Jagjivan Ram Parliamentary Studies and Political Research Institute in Patna.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, attended by distinguished guests and office-bearers of the association. Key issues such as teachers’ rights, dignity, equal pay, service conditions, and reforms in the education system were extensively discussed during the event.
Speakers emphasised that teachers are the backbone of society and that safeguarding their rights is essential to ensuring quality education. The large turnout of teachers at the convention reflected the unity and collective strength of the organisation.
Association leaders described the convention as a significant platform for amplifying teachers’ voices, underlining the need for harmony and transparency in the education system. The event was widely regarded as an important step towards bringing positive change in the education sector.
