Sporting Icons To Be Honoured at Sipahi Bhagat Award Function on August 27

Patna: The Sipahi Bhagat Sports Foundation has announced the names of sports personalities, coaches, and players who will be honoured at the forthcoming Sipahi Bhagat Sports Award ceremony. The event is scheduled for August 27, coinciding with Sports Day, and will take place at Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur.

Aman Kumar, COO of Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, shared that senior cricket coach Devki Nandan Das will be awarded the esteemed Sipahi Bhagat Khel Ratna Award. Additionally, various officials and coaches from different sports associations will be recognised for their contributions.

The school’s principal, Paljinder Paul Singh, emphasised the Foundation’s commitment to social work and the promotion of sports. He highlighted that the school encourages students to excel not only academically but also in sports and other extracurricular activities. The list of those to be honoured was curated under the guidance of Santosh Tiwari, founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, who will also oversee the event.
