After Bihar posted 248 runs in 86 overs in their first innings, Uttar Pradesh responded with an impressive 417 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in 91 overs, securing a commanding lead of 169 runs with eight wickets still in hand.
Bihar’s bowlers, led by Nawaz and Himanshu Singh, who took one wicket each, tried their best to contain Uttar Pradesh’s strong batting lineup. However, they struggled to break through consistently. Uttar Pradesh’s innings was highlighted by an outstanding knock of 198 runs from opener Abhishek Goswami. Madhav Kaushik contributed 63 runs before being dismissed, while captain Aryan Jurel remained unbeaten on 103 runs. Karan Sharma supported him at the crease with 37 not out as the day ended.
