Patna’s Sanjeev Kumar Singh Strikes Gold in Masters Badminton Competition

Patna, June 9: Sanjeev Kumar Singh from Patna clinched two gold medals and one silver medal in the Masters Badminton competition organized by the Master Games Federation of India in Anand city, Gujarat. Sanjeev Kumar Singh secured gold medals in the 50+ singles category and the 55+ doubles category. He also earned recognition for Bihar by securing the silver medal in the 50+ doubles category, with his partner in both doubles events being Manoj Kumar.

Sanjeev Kumar Singh, employed as a football player under the sports quota at the State Bank of India, has recently showcased his prowess in badminton competitions. Previously recognized for his contributions as a football player, Sanjeev Kumar Singh has captained and represented the Bihar team in the Santosh Trophy, leading them to victory. Additionally, his tenure as the coach of the Patna football team has been commendable.

Following knee issues, Sanjeev turned to badminton and has since excelled in the Masters Games, earning numerous medals for Bihar through his exceptional performances.
