National Kabaddi Officials training concludes in Patna.

Patna: A three-day national training and examination programme for kabaddi officials, organised by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association under the guidance of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), concluded on Tuesday, May 26.
The closing ceremony was held at the Patliputra Sports Complex, where the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bihar State Sports Authority, Raveendran Sankaran, attended as the chief guest. K Jagdishwar Yadav, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, was present as the special guest.

Addressing the gathering, Sankaran described the programme as highly effective in strengthening associations at a technical level. He said that referees, umpires and other technical officials play a crucial role in the successful conduct of any sporting event. He added that regularly updating technical knowledge and assessing officials through examinations, both theoretical and practical, was a commendable initiative. He also urged all sports associations to organise similar programmes.
On the occasion, Yadav shared his experiences and highlighted the importance of technical officials in the sport.
Earlier, Bihar State Kabaddi Association Chairman Kumar Vijay Singh welcomed the guests by presenting mementoes and shawls. He informed that on the final day, technical officials were given on-field training at the Patliputra Sports Complex and were also interviewed as part of the assessment process.
