Patna: Kavish Sahu delivered a remarkable performance at the Bihar State Third Major Ranking Table Tennis Championship, held at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute Hall on Sunday. He triumphed in both the Boys’ Under-17 and Men’s categories, cementing his position as a rising star in the sport.
In the Women’s category, Riyanshi Gupta emerged as the champion, while Kumari Ananya claimed the Girls’ Under-19 title. This marked Ananya’s third title in the competition, having previously won the Girls’ Under-15 and Under-17 categories.
The award ceremony was graced by prominent personalities, including former BCCL Chief General Manager Banarasi Prasad, Bihar Table Tennis Association Treasurer Manoj Kumar, former State Champion Papiya D. Gandhi, and Samrat Construction CMD Ramendra Chaudhary, whose organisation supported the championship. The event was hosted by Patna District Table Tennis Association Secretary Dilip Kumar Gandhi, with a vote of thanks extended by Treasurer Somnath Roy.
