Bihar Sharif, June 10: In the final league match of the Magadh Zone of the BCA Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, Nawada secured a 4-wicket victory over Nalanda, with Ishu Kumar playing a stellar century innings.

Nawada won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match played at the local Nalanda Cricket Ground. Nalanda batted first and posted a total of 214 runs in 39.1 overs, losing all their wickets. Lakshya Prakash was the top scorer for Nalanda with a superb 90 runs, including 2 sixes and 13 fours. Other notable contributions came from Mohammad Aayan Arman (39), Neeraj (29), Rajguru (17), and Krishna Kanhaiya (15).

Nawada’s bowling attack was led by Raj Pandey, who took 3 wickets, while Mohammad Javed claimed 2 wickets. Shubham, Divesh, and Ishu each took one wicket.

In reply, Nawada chased down the target, scoring 215 runs for 6 wickets in 29.4 overs. Ishu Kumar was the star of the innings, scoring a brilliant 101 runs. He was well supported by Prithvi (35), Nimesh (28* not out), Vikram (18* not out), and Ankit (14).

For Nalanda, Vineet Kumar took 4 wickets, while Ankit and Neeraj each took one wicket.

Ishu Kumar of Nawada was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding century.
