Patna: Chief Minister (CM) Samrat Choudhary offered prayers at the famous Thawe Temple in Gopalganj on Wednesday amid the chanting of Vedic mantras. He prayed to Maa Thawe for the happiness, peace, well-being and prosperity of the people of Bihar.
Speaking to journalists after the prayers, Samrat Choudhary said he had come to seek the blessings of Maa Thawe. He said he prayed that her blessings would always remain upon the people of Bihar. “I offered prayers at Thawe Dham today and prayed for the happiness, peace, well-being and prosperity of the entire state. I pray that Bihar prospers and continues to move steadily on the path of development,” he said.
On the Chief Minister’s arrival in his home district of Gopalganj, Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit welcomed him with a bouquet. Local public representatives, leaders and the temple management also welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with bouquets, an angavastram and a memento.
Food and Consumer Protection Minister Ashok Choudhary, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari, Rural Works Minister Sunil Kumar, MLA Manjeet Kumar Singh, MLA Subhash Singh, Legislative Council member Rajiv Kumar alias Gappu Babu, other public representatives, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Anand Kishore, Chief Minister’s Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Health Department Secretary Kumar Ravi, Saran Divisional Commissioner Manish Kumar, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Nandkishore, Saran Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Nilesh Kumar, District Magistrate Sameer Saurabh, Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari, along with other dignitaries, senior officials and devotees, were present on the occasion.
