Bomb Threat at Patna Airport Sparks High Alert and Extensive Security Measures

Patna: Patna airport received a bomb threat via email, causing a stir among airport officials and prompting immediate high alert measures. The airport director confirmed the threat, stating that security has been significantly tightened. The authenticity of the email is under investigation, and the police have been informed.

Following the threat, a comprehensive search operation was launched by the CISF and Airport Thana Police. Security forces, including the Bomb Squad and Dog Squad, are meticulously inspecting every area of the airport. As of now, no bombs or suspicious items have been found, but the Patna Police remain on high alert. The Cyber Cell and other investigative agencies are also involved in the investigation.

The threatening email was received around 1 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Patna Airport Director Anchal Prakash stated that precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of passengers and airport staff. Currently, the situation is normal, but security remains stringent.

Similar threats have been issued to various airports recently, leading to enhanced security measures at Patna Airport. The CISF is closely monitoring all activities at the airport, with personnel stationed from the entry gate to the exit gate. Continuous special checks of passengers’ luggage are being conducted. The threat has created an atmosphere of panic among passengers, despite the airport’s extensive security arrangements.
