Indian U-23 4x400 m relay team:

Patna: Bihar’s emerging athlete Setu Mishra has created history with an outstanding performance at the Asian Under-23 Athletics Championships held in China, bringing laurels to both the state and the country.
Sharing the information, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bihar State Sports Authority, Raveendran Sankaran, said Mishra won a gold medal for India in the 4x400m mixed relay and a silver medal in the men’s 4x400m relay, marking a remarkable achievement for Bihar.
In the final of the men’s 4x400m relay, Mishra ran the crucial third leg for the Indian team. He matched the pace of the Chinese runner, maintained India’s advantage, and handed the baton to the anchor runner in an excellent position. The decisive lead created by Mishra enabled the Indian team to deliver a strong finish and secure the silver medal.
Earlier, Mishra was also part of India’s victorious 4x400m mixed relay team, which clinched the gold medal and finished atop the podium as the Indian national anthem echoed during the medal ceremony.

The achievement marks a new chapter in Bihar’s sporting history, with Mishra becoming the first athlete from the state to win two medals at the Asian Athletics Championships in the Under-23 category.
Congratulating Mishra and the Indian team on their historic success, Sankaran, on behalf of the Bihar State Sports Authority and the state’s Sports Department, said the achievement would inspire aspiring athletes across Bihar. He expressed confidence that Mishra would continue to bring glory to both Bihar and India in future international competitions.
