Patna: Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Samrat Choudhary chaired a review meeting of the Information and Public Relations Department at the ‘Sankalp’ auditorium in the Lok Sevak Awas, 1 Anne Marg. During the meeting, Department Secretary Dr Chandrashekhar Singh presented an update on ongoing work and outlined future plans.
Addressing officials, the Chief Minister said Bihar has a rich and glorious past and is now progressing rapidly. He noted that several key infrastructure projects have been completed in recent years.
He added that alongside infrastructure development, significant efforts have been made to strengthen law and order and improve basic amenities for the public. Small-scale industries have also been established across the state, and their benefits are now reaching people.
Samrat Choudhary stressed that information about government initiatives and implemented schemes must reach the public accurately and swiftly. He also underlined the importance of monitoring public feedback, suggestions and complaints.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that Bihar’s distinct identity, achievements, recent developments and heritage are communicated effectively both within and outside the state. He further emphasised the need to provide district-wise information on key locations, their significance and major infrastructure facilities.
Highlighting the growing importance of artificial intelligence, he said departments should utilise AI to monitor schemes, which would enhance transparency. He also instructed that district-level plans be prepared for the adoption of AI across Bihar.
Choudhary warned that any misleading or factually incorrect content circulating on social media platforms must be promptly countered with verified information.
Senior officials, including Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Special Officer Dr Gopal Singh, Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, Department Secretary Dr Chandrashekhar Singh and Director Anil Kumar, were present at the meeting.
