Patna, June 21: Bihar’s Bhargavi Sharma clinched a grand double in the All India Ranking Under-16 Tennis Championship, winning both the girls’ singles and doubles titles at Naseeb Sports Academy Courts on Friday.
In the girls’ singles final, Bhargavi Sharma defeated Karnataka’s Anika Pandey with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory. In the doubles final, Bhargavi teamed up with Aditi Mishra to defeat the pair of Sonali Mandal and Ishika Shaw 6-1, 6-0.
In the boys’ singles final, Amrit Vats of West Bengal triumphed over Avinash Roy of Bihar with a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win.
