Patna, June 3: In the three-day BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament Super League match underway at the Moinul Haque Stadium in Patna, Begusarai presented a formidable challenge to the host team, scoring 476 runs in their first innings. This commendable total was largely propelled by batsman Prithvi Raj’s double century. By the conclusion of the second day’s play, Patna found themselves trailing Begusarai by 327 runs, having scored 149 runs for the loss of four wickets.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Begusarai set a strong foundation with a total of 476 runs in their first innings. Prithvi Raj’s resilient knock of 257 runs, embellished with 24 fours and 6 sixes, significantly bolstered their scorecard. Supporting contributions came from Murari (8 runs), Aditya Soni (46 runs), Bharat Kumar (32 runs), Nishit Kumar (33 runs), Atul Prakash (8 runs), Danish Alam (22 runs), Ram Vineet Sharan (20 runs), Kishan Kumar (11 runs), with Ajinkya Prem remaining unbeaten on 4 runs.
