Aurangabad Clinch Victory Over Kaimur in Under-16 Cricket Tournament

Bhabua, June 6: Aurangabad clinched a commanding 8-wicket victory over Kaimur in the fourth match of the Shahabad Zone in the BCA Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, organized by the Bihar Cricket Association and hosted by the Kaimur District Cricket Association. Vikas Kumar (87 not out) and Anmol Singh (61 runs) led Aurangabad to victory with impressive half-centuries.

In the encounter held at the Jagjivan Stadium, Kaimur won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a total of 164 runs, losing all wickets in 35.5 overs. Ayan Ali top-scored with 52 runs, followed by Captain Suryansh Tiwari with 37 runs. Aurangabad’s bowlers, including Badal Kumar, Aviral Raj, Vishal, and Nandan Das, contributed with 2 wickets each, while Saurav Kumar claimed 1 wicket.

Chasing a target of 165 runs, Aurangabad achieved victory by scoring 168 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 34 overs. Both Aurangabad’s openers showcased stellar performances, forging a partnership of 124 runs. Vikas Kumar remained unbeaten with 87 runs, supported by Anmol Singh’s 61 runs.

Ranji player Vishal Das awarded the Player of the Match trophy to Vikas Kumar for his outstanding innings.
