Patna: In the ongoing Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Kumar Club at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium (GAC Ground), Anisabad Cricket Club claimed a resounding 69-run victory over Karbighia Cricket Club on Friday, 3 January.
Winning the toss, Anisabad Cricket Club chose to bat first and set a challenging target of 163 runs for six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Ranjan Kumar led the charge with an impressive 42 runs, supported by Hariom Sharma (30) and Harsh Uttam (25 not out). The team also benefited from 26 extras. Karbighia’s Devansh Ashwal was the standout bowler, taking 3/16, while Kartik Pandey and Swaraj Rathore chipped in with a wicket each.
In their chase, Karbighia Cricket Club faltered, managing only 94 runs in 12.5 overs. Despite brief contributions from Gulshan Kumar (16) and Samrat Sunny (16), the team struggled against Anisabad’s disciplined bowling attack. Ranjan Kumar was the star with the ball, claiming 5/29, while Aarush Singh provided excellent support with 3/10.
Ranjan Kumar’s all-round brilliance earned him the Man of the Match award, presented by Organising Committee Secretary Aditya Yogesh.
