Patna, May 27: Amrit Raj of Muzaffarpur clinched the men’s singles title at the Hundred Bihar State 1st Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2024, defeating Saksham Vasta of Patna 18-21, 21-18, 21-17 in Aurangabad on Sunday.

Saloni Kumari of Purnia claimed the women’s singles crown by defeating Vaibhavi Singh of Katihar 21-09, 21-16.

The pair of Akash Deep and Tabrez, both from Patna, won the men’s doubles title, defeating the duo of Akash Thakur and Ambuj Prakash from Samastipur and Jehanabad respectively, 21-19, 21-17.

The pair of Siharth Bhushan and Akansha Pandey from Vaishali and Buxar respectively, bagged the mixed doubles title by defeating the combination of Raj Aryan and Zainib Nazir from Nawada and Patna, 21-13, 21-12.

The tournament was sponsored by Hundred, a subsidiary of badminton equipment manufacturer Li-Ning.
