Patna: Former Jan Suraaj candidate from the Samastipur Assembly constituency and noted physician Dr Manoj Kumar Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with hundreds of his supporters at a joining ceremony held at the Bihar BJP state headquarters on Monday.
The new members were inducted into the party by Bihar minister and senior BJP leader Pramod Chandravanshi, who welcomed them into the BJP family.
Those who joined the BJP included Dr Manoj Kumar Singh (MBBS, MD, Shriramchandra Hospital, Adarsh Nagar, Samastipur), along with Amit Kumar, Sarvjeet Kumar, Aditya Anand and a large number of social workers and supporters. The new entrants said they had faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the BJP’s nationalist and development-oriented policies.
Addressing the gathering, Chandravanshi welcomed the new members and said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India was reaching new heights in development, good governance and welfare for the poor. He said leaders and workers from different political parties were continuously joining the BJP after being influenced by the public welfare initiatives of the NDA governments at the Centre and in Bihar.
He said that the BJP was the world’s largest political party and that its ideology was reaching every section of society.
Chandravanshi said the induction of an educated, respected and socially committed personality like Dr Manoj Kumar Singh would inject fresh energy into the organisation. He expressed confidence that the hundreds of workers joining alongside him would strengthen the BJP’s organisational network in Samastipur and across Bihar while helping take the party’s ideology to more people.
He further said that the BJP was not merely a political party but a large organisation committed to nation-building. Service, good governance, inclusive development and the upliftment of the last person in society remained the party’s core principles, he added. Chandravanshi expressed confidence that the addition of new members would further strengthen the organisation and expand the BJP’s support base across Bihar.
The ceremony was attended by BJP state general secretary Dhanraj Sharma, state vice-president Pranay Yadav, state media in-charge Danish Iqbal, state co-media in-charge Amit Prakash Bablu, Samastipur district president Neelam Sahni, office secretary Vinay Kesari, and several other senior party leaders and workers. The large turnout of supporters reflected enthusiasm and confidence in the organisation.
