Patna: Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi on Wednesday congratulated the newly elected NDA members of the Bihar Legislative Council on taking oath, describing the occasion as a renewed commitment to development, public service and good governance in the state.
Saraogi said the swearing-in was not merely a constitutional formality but also symbolised a fresh resolve to accelerate Bihar’s development and serve the people. He expressed confidence that the newly inducted members would play a significant role in the Upper House with their experience, competence and commitment to public welfare.
He said the members would work in line with the aspirations of the people, give fresh momentum to the state’s development and strongly raise issues concerning Bihar’s interests in the Legislative Council.
Referring to the NDA government, Saraogi said it was working at a rapid pace under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to achieve the goal of a “Developed Bihar”. He said the active participation of the new Council members would further strengthen the implementation of the government’s development programmes.
According to Saraogi, the experience, vision and dedication of the newly elected members towards public welfare would play a vital role in taking Bihar to new heights of progress and prosperity.

He said the newly sworn-in members include Nishant Kumar, Dr Bharti Mehta, Shivani Devi Prajapati and Lalan Prasad from the Janata Dal (United); Bhojpuri actor-singer Pawan Singh, Dr Sanjay Prakash Mayukh, Anil Kumar Thakur and Sheela Pandit from the Bharatiya Janata Party; and Ashraf Ansari from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
Extending his best wishes to all the newly elected members for a successful and people-centric tenure, Saraogi said every NDA representative would continue to work with the spirit of service, good governance and development. He expressed confidence that the members would make a meaningful contribution towards realising the vision of a “Developed Bihar” and live up to the trust reposed in them by the people
