Patna: In a moment of pride for the Bihar Football Association, the state’s talented coach Sonu Babu has successfully cleared the AFC ‘B’ Licence Football Coaching Course conducted by the All India Football Federation, bringing distinction to Bihar.
Syed Imtiaz Hussain stated that Sonu Babu has consistently been at the forefront of promoting football development in Bihar. Through his organisation, Babu FC Foundation, and under the aegis of the Bihar Football Association, he has been organising a range of competitions and programmes every year, from grassroots to senior levels, aimed at nurturing players across the state.
Congratulating him on this significant achievement, Bihar Football Association President Prasenjit Mehta, Vice-President Ravindra Prasad Singh, Imtasharul Haque, Pradeep Kumar, Secretary Imtiaz Hussain, and Bihar Women’s Football Convenor Asgar Hussain, along with Santosh Kumar and Mohammad Naushad, expressed their happiness and extended their best wishes. They noted that Sonu Babu’s success marks a major milestone for football in Bihar and will further strengthen the standard of coaching in the state.
Notably, the ‘B’ Licence course was conducted in two modules at the Football Kickers Academy in Punjab during January and March, with Uttam Singh Negi serving as the instructor. The results were declared by the AIFF on Friday, with only nine out of 24 participants clearing the course, including Sonu Babu.
Sonu Babu, Founder and Chairman of Babu FC Foundation, is currently serving as the Head Football Coach at CGC University, Mohali. The Bihar Football Association expressed confidence that his expertise and experience will help take football development in the state to new heights.
