Patna: The 9th Bihar State Senior and Junior Pickleball Championship (Men/Women/Boys/Girls) will take place from 14th to 15th September at Saint Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Digha, Patna, under the aegis of the Bihar Pickleball Association.
Secretary of the association, Ranjan Kumar Gupta, announced that in the senior category, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches will be held for age groups 60 years, 50 years, and over 35 years. In the junior category, the same matches will be conducted for participants under the age of 19.
Based on their performance in the championship, teams from Bihar in the Senior and Junior Men/Women/Boys/Girls categories will be selected to compete in the 8th Senior and Junior National Pickleball Championship, scheduled for 4th to 6th October in Panipat, Haryana.
A three-member selection committee, chaired by the association’s senior vice-president, Gouri Shankar, with members Anand Singh and Abhay Kumar, has been formed to oversee the selection of the Bihar team.
