Patna: The 19th Bihar Open State Karate Championship 2026 was organised on Sunday at Holy Faith International School, bringing together talented martial arts players from across the state.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Rajan Kumar Singh, Ajay Kumar Jha, Rupak Kumar (National Secretary, LJP (R) Sports Cell), K.K. Shashwat and Ashwini Kumar Sharan. Among the officials present were Sanjeet Kumar, Akshay Kumar, Indrajeet Bharti, Rakesh Kumar, Suman Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Akash Kumar, Golu Lee and Kirti Kumari.
The championship was organised under the banner of the Martial Art Academy of Bihar and Perfect Defence Academy.
In various age categories, the gold medal winners included Shiny Priya, Aaradhya, Bharti Bijia Vibhuti, Rudra Bhardwaj, Sahil, Neha, Simran Kumari, Rudra Tej Vaibhav, Tanishk and Shaurya Kumar.
Silver medals were secured by Shanvi Sinha, Trisha, Prince, Khushi Bharti, Farheen Parveen, Aarav, Aditya, Lucky Verma, Advik and Sameer.
Bronze medal winners included Harshika, Vaishnavi, Aman, Saras, Radhe Krishna, Aayansh, Rudransh Vikas and Dhyaanu Chandra Prakash.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation and highlighted the growing popularity of karate among young athletes in Bihar.
