Manoj Bajpayee has confirmed that discussions for the fourth season of the spy thriller series ‘The Family Man’ are expected to begin shortly. The actor provided this update on the show’s future during a recent conversation with Variety India, although an official OTT release date has not been announced.
Bajpayee, who plays the lead role of intelligence officer Srikant Tiwari, spoke about the anticipation surrounding the next chapter. The actor said, ‘Talks will start happening soon. It’s quite flattering that it has become such a great franchise that each and every person, be it a child or an adult, keeps asking about it.’ He added that once the conversation about the fourth season starts, the script will be finalized, and then the team will be called in to start prepping and give their dates.
Fans have been awaiting news about the series since the third season concluded with several unresolved plot points. The first season of the show premiered in 2019, with the second season following in 2021. The third season arrived after a longer gap and expanded the show’s narrative scope .
Platform and Release Status
All previous seasons of ‘The Family Man’ have been released on Amazon Prime Video, and the streaming platform is expected to be the home for the fourth season as well. However, makers have not yet revealed the shooting schedule or a specific premiere date for the new season.
The series, created by Raj and DK, follows Srikant Tiwari, a senior analyst with the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), who navigates dangerous national-security missions while managing the everyday challenges of his family life. Bajpayee’s performance as the conflicted spy has been central to the show’s popularity.
Season 3 Recap and Crossover
The third season of ‘The Family Man’ shifted its setting to Northeast India, with the story revolving around Project Sahakar, a government initiative for regional development. The plot became complicated after the assassination of key local leaders by a character named Rukma, played by Jaideep Ahlawat, creating a major security crisis .
Season 3 also delivered a crossover event by bringing Vijay Sethupathi’s character from the series ‘Farzi’ into the story, connecting the two shows within a shared universe. The season ended on a cliffhanger, leaving multiple possibilities open for Srikant Tiwari’s story in the potential fourth installment.
