Political Criticism
Tejashwi Yadav’s Samvad Yatra has sparked political debate in Bihar. JD(U) chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar criticised the initiative, calling it a “candidate search yatra” with little significance for the people of Bihar. “Tejashwi’s track record for such yatras has been poor. By-elections on four seats recently saw his party completely rejected by voters. This yatra is unlikely to bring any progress,” said Kumar.
Background
The second phase of Tejashwi Yadav’s yatra, initially scheduled from 16 to 26 October, was postponed after just two days due to the announcement of Jharkhand Assembly elections and Bihar by-elections.
The third phase will begin in Munger, the parliamentary constituency of Union Minister and JD(U) leader Lalan Singh, and will also cover Begusarai, represented by BJP leader Giriraj Singh. Preparations for the yatra are underway, with expectations of robust participation from RJD workers.
