Patna: Rahmani 30 student, Tabish Raza, has successfully qualified for the prestigious Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (Hons) programme at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi. Notably, he is the only Muslim student to receive this honour at the ISI Delhi branch. ISI is globally renowned for its high standards, and its selection process is considered more challenging than the IITs. Securing a place at ISI is a testament to Tabish’s immense determination, talent, and hard work, demonstrating that with perseverance and courage, even the most difficult goals can be achieved.
Hazrat Ameer-e-Shariat Maulana Ahmad Wali Faisal Rahmani extended his heartfelt congratulations to Tabish Raza and his family. He praised the unwavering support of Tabish’s father, Muhammad Aminuddin, a contract para-teacher, and his mother, Wajida Tabassum, who manages the household. He also emphasised the significance of this achievement, proving that anyone, regardless of their background, can attain great heights with dedication and hard work.
ISI Delhi, established in 1974, is India’s premier institute for research and education in statistics, mathematics, and computer science. The institute has produced many distinguished figures, including Sandeep Junia, a renowned expert in stochastic modelling and financial engineering; Min Shah, an economist and professor at UCLA; and Tappan Kumar Naik, a leader in Bayesian statistics. These luminaries exemplify how students from all backgrounds can excel through academic pursuit and hard work.
Rahmani 30 has now achieved the significant milestone of 4% representation from the Muslim community at ISI Delhi—a remarkable feat given the limited number of seats and fierce competition. This accomplishment reflects the institute’s dedication to developing the skills of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, enabling them to compete at the highest level. Rahmani 30 believes that institutions like ISI Delhi should not remain the dream of a privileged few but should inspire young people from all walks of life to aspire for greatness.
Tabish Raza’s success is not just an individual triumph but a testament to the potential of every student, irrespective of socio-economic background. It sends a powerful message that with the right guidance, education, and determination, even students from less privileged backgrounds can hope to join such prestigious institutions and carve out a name for themselves.
This achievement underscores the high-quality training, dedication, and collaboration within Rahmani 30. It reaffirms the institute’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for academic success. Maulana Ahmad Wali Faisal Rahmani praised the efforts of the Rahmani 30 team and urged the community to guide and encourage their children to excel in education. He assured them that success is attainable for everyone, even at prestigious institutions like ISI Delhi.
