Patna: BJP leader Shyam Sundar Sharma, also known as Munna Sharma, was murdered in Patna on Monday morning. The fearless criminals shot him near Mangal Talab in Patna City. Sharma had left his home near Ramdev Mahato Community Hall to catch an auto-rickshaw when the assailants, who had been lying in wait, attempted to snatch his gold chain. When Sharma resisted, the criminals shot him.
The deceased, Shyam Sundar Sharma alias Munna Sharma, had served as the former president of the BJP Chowk Mandal. Chowk police station in-charge, Shashi Kumar Rana, stated that the miscreants shot him early in the morning. Sharma succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. According to Rana, the authorities are identifying the criminals using CCTV footage from the area.
At around 6:15 a.m., information was received that Munna Sharma had been shot by criminals in front of Nai Sadak City Pul Restaurant. His family rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity of the incident as part of their investigation, confirmed Rana.
