Patna, May 26: The Straight Drive Bihar PRO Invitation Men’s Volleyball Tournament 2024 began with a bang on Saturday evening at the Telegraph Recreation Centre in Patna.

In the opening match, Saran triumphed over Begusarai with a decisive 2-0 victory (25-8, 25-12).

The second match saw Samastipur defeat Patna in a closely contested game, winning 2-0 (25-18, 25-23).

In the third game, Bhagalpur emerged victorious against Begusarai, securing a 2-0 win (25-18, 25-23).

This tournament showcases talented players from six districts of Bihar, competing in a Round Robin League format over four days, from May 25 to May 28. The final will take place on the evening of May 28.

The tournament was inaugurated by Secretary of Bihar Volleyball Association Ramashish Singh, along with Mohan Kumar Sinha, Ranji Cricketer Ashok Talapatra, Coach Prem Ballabh Sahay, Premnath Khanna, and Uttam Talapatra of Straight Drive.

On May 24, Straight Drive held a Press and Media meet to announce the tournament, with the aim of promoting and revitalizing the popular sport of volleyball in Bihar.
