Patna, September 12: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday reviewed preparations for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, scheduled from September 17 to October 17, and the ‘Seva Sankalp evam Kayakalp Abhiyan’, which will continue across the state from September 17 to March 31, 2027.
The review meeting was held at ‘Samvad’ in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations for the two campaigns through a detailed presentation.
Amrit said 13 major programmes would be organised during the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17.
Under the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, Deepotsav will be organised on September 17 at district, subdivision, block, panchayat and booth levels across Bihar, with an emphasis on ensuring maximum public participation.
The ‘Seva Kshetra’ programme will feature seven-day painting and speech competitions in all government and private schools from September 25 to October 1.
Under ‘Seva Smaran’, music programmes and street plays will be organised at public places to inform people about the changes brought about by public welfare schemes and development works undertaken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year political tenure.
The ‘Aangan Ka Milan’ programme will be organised at every Anganwadi centre for three days between September 17 and October 17. Anganwadi workers will be honoured, while entertaining activities will be organised for children.
Under ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’, the experiences of 25 lakh people will be shared through reels and videos, highlighting changes in Bihar and the lives of its people through development works carried out during Modi’s tenure.
A ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ will also be organised by lighting service lamps and carrying a torch. The programme will express gratitude for service-oriented works undertaken over the past 25 years and reaffirm the commitment to making India a developed nation by 2047.
Under the ‘Vadnagar Se Varanasi’ programme, a ‘Jal, Jan aur Seva Sankalp Yatra’ will be taken out. Motorcycle groups will travel from Vadnagar to Kashi and perform a water abhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath temple. They will later return from Varanasi to Vadnagar carrying Ganga water.
The ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ programme will feature 25 types of activities related to cleanliness, development and beautification between September 17 and October 17.
Under the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan—Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ initiative, camps will be organised at block level across Bihar on October 6. Applications relating to complaints and problems received earlier will be addressed at these camps. Stalls of various departments will also provide information about public welfare schemes of the Central and state governments.
The ‘Seva Ke Rang-Rangoli’ programme will involve creating rangoli and mandala designs based on public welfare schemes implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Flowers, soil, sand, rice, leaves and natural colours will be used for the artwork.
Other programmes, including a ‘Hackathon and Innovation Challenge’, ‘Jan Sevak Mahakumbh—Panchayat Se Parliament’ and ‘25 Saal Ki 25 Kahaniyan—Rashtriya Unboxing’, will also be organised.
The Chief Secretary also briefed the Chief Minister on the ‘Seva Sankalp evam Kayakalp Abhiyan’, which will run from September 17 to March 31, 2027.
During the meeting, Choudhary directed that the ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ cleanliness, development and beautification programme should ensure wide public participation at at least two locations in every Assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is based on 13 themes and several important programmes would be organised under it. He directed all ministers and officials to make special preparations for the programmes.
He said the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme should be used to take information about development works and public welfare schemes undertaken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure to the people.
