Pushpam Priya Choudhary Unmasks Herself in 2025, Ending Pledge Against Nitish Kumar

By Neeraj Kumar
Patna: Pushpam Priya Choudhary, leader of the Plurals Party, who once vowed to wear a mask until she ousted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from power, has broken her pledge. Sharing a picture without her signature mask on New Year’s Day, Pushpam Priya has once again stirred conversations in Bihar’s political circles.

Pushpam Priya, who gained attention in 2020 as a direct contender for the Chief Minister’s post, posted her mask-free photo on the social media platform X, captioning it, “The auspicious time of 2025 has come.” The post has attracted widespread attention, with users offering varied reactions to her new look.

In 2020, following Nitish Kumar’s formation of the government with the support of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM party and the BJP, Pushpam Priya had vowed to keep her face masked until Nitish Kumar was removed from the Chief Minister’s position. Like Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, who famously vowed not to remove his turban, Pushpam Priya’s mask became a symbolic gesture of her political resolve.

However, as the New Year of 2025 dawned, Pushpam Priya chose to unveil her face. She has not provided an explanation for her decision, but her post has ignited a flurry of responses.

One user, Ranjit Yadav, commented, “You should not have removed the mask. Happy New Year 2025.” Another, Kailash Thakur, remarked, “Amazing style.” Meanwhile, Manish Paswan joked, “Play the drum, Didi forgot to wear the mask.”

Pushpam Priya’s move has reignited discussions about her political journey and ambitions. Whether this marks a new chapter in her career or a symbolic gesture remains to be seen, but her latest post has certainly captured public and media attention.
