Patna: The Transport Department in Patna had initially planned to launch a city bus service from R Block to Kangan Ghat on 14th October. However, on Thursday, the department announced an expansion, introducing city bus services on four routes instead of two. In addition to the R Block to Kangan Ghat route, city buses will also operate from Digha to AIIMS Patna Golambar. The department has invited objections and suggestions from the general public and vehicle owners until 21st October.
If no objections are raised, both CNG and electric city buses will begin operating on all four routes simultaneously. According to sources within the department, the distance from R Block to Kangan Ghat is 25 km, while the Digha to AIIMS Golambar route covers 17 km, with more than 12 buses running in both directions.
The Routes:
- Kangan Ghat to R Block (Up): Gaighat, Krishnaghat, PMCH, Gandhi Maidan, LCT Ghat, Digha Ghat, Stalin Nagar, Kurji Balu Par, Rajiv Nagar, New Patliputra, Indrapuri, Mahesh Nagar, Shivpuri, SK Puri, Punaichak, Daroga Rai Path Mor to R Block.
- R Block to Kangan Ghat (Down): Daroga Rai Path Mor, Mohanpur Pump House, Punaichak, SK Puri, Shivpuri, Mahesh Nagar, New Patliputra, Indrapuri, Rajiv Nagar, Kurji Balu Par, Stalin Nagar, Digha Ghat, LCT Ghat, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Krishna Ghat, Gaighat to Kangan Ghat.
- Digha to AIIMS Golambar: Ashok Rajpath Mor, Rupaspur Mor, AIIMS Golambar.
- AIIMS Golambar to Digha: AIIMS Golambar, Rupaspur, Ashok Rajpath Mor, Digha Ghat.
