Patna Police at crime spot

Patna: In a shocking incident, criminals carried out a brutal attack in the Pirbahore police station area in Patna on Saturday morning. The assailants barged into a house in the Lalbagh locality along Ashok Rajpath and attacked a couple with sharp-edged weapons. The husband was killed on the spot, while his wife, identified as Nazia Parveen, sustained serious injuries.
The injured woman was immediately rushed to hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. The incident triggered panic and fear in the area. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Raids are currently underway to identify and arrest the attackers.
According to police, the accused has been identified and efforts are being made to apprehend him soon. The motive behind the attack will be ascertained after his arrest. The injured woman is being treated at Patna Medical College and Hospital, while the husband’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Eyewitnesses said they heard screams coming from Nawaz’s house, prompting them to step out. The door was found open, with blood splattered inside and the man lying dead. His wife was discovered critically injured in a pool of blood. Police were informed immediately and began their probe. CCTV footage from the area is being examined, and a forensic team has also been called in for investigation.
