Patna, May 26: Patna put up an impressive score of 362 for 4 in their first innings against Darbhanga in the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament Super League at the Moinul Haq Stadium on Sunday.
After winning the toss, Darbhanga elected to field, inviting Patna to bat first. By the end of the first day’s play, Patna had reached a formidable total of 362 for 4, largely due to Piyush Kumar’s brilliant unbeaten century and Akash Raj’s unbeaten half-century. A total of 91 overs were bowled on the first day.
Shasheem Rathore contributed 46 runs to the total, hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes. Animesh Kumar added 4 runs, Babul Kumar scored 15 runs, and Shlok Kumar was dismissed for 41 runs. The highlights of Patna’s innings were Piyush Kumar, who remained not out with 158 runs, and Akash Raj, who remained unbeaten on 78 runs.
For Darbhanga, Manish Kumar was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets. Mayank and Navneet each chipped in with one wicket.
