Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has assigned district-level responsibilities to all ministers in the state cabinet. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has been made the minister in charge of Patna, while Vijay Kumar Sinha has been given charge of Muzaffarpur and Bhojpur. All 25 ministers have been allotted district responsibilities, with several ministers holding charge of more than one district.
The ministers have been appointed as chairpersons of the District Programme Implementation Committees as well as district in-charge ministers. The Cabinet Department has issued a formal notification in this regard, confirming the allocation of districts among all 25 ministers.
According to the notification, Samrat Choudhary will oversee Patna, Vijay Kumar Sinha Muzaffarpur and Bhojpur, Vijay Kumar Choudhary East Champaran and Nalanda, Vijendra Prasad Yadav Vaishali and Saran, Shravan Kumar Samastipur and Purnia, Mangal Pandey Darbhanga and West Champaran, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal Bhagalpur and Gaya, Ashok Choudhary Sitamarhi, Sheohar and Jehanabad, Lacey Singh Madhubani and Madhepura, and Madan Sahni Supaul and Khagaria.
Ramkripal Yadav has been given charge of Kaimur and Aurangabad, Sunil Kumar Rohtas and Lakhisarai, Mohammad Zama Khan Kishanganj and Sheikhpura, Sanjay Singh ‘Tiger’ Banka, Arun Shankar Prasad Begusarai, Surendra Mehta Katihar, Narayan Prasad Gopalganj, and Rama Nishad Buxar.
Similarly, Lakhanendra Kumar Roshan has been appointed in charge of Araria, Shreyasi Singh of Nawada, Pramod Kumar of Saharsa and Siwan, Sanjay Kumar of Munger, Sanjay Kumar Singh of Jamui, and Deepak Prakash of Arwal district.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is currently on his Samriddhi Yatra. The tour began from Bettiah on January 16. On the second day, January 17, he was in Motihari. The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Sitamarhi and Sheohar on January 19, Gopalganj on January 20, Siwan on January 21, Saran on January 22, Muzaffarpur on January 23, and Vaishali on January 24.
