Patna: A grand felicitation ceremony was organised by the Commerce Association at the Chamber of Commerce premises in Gandhi Maidan, Patna, to honour Nitin Nabin, National President of the BJP and Member of the Rajya Sabha. The event witnessed the presence of several prominent industrialists, traders and dignitaries, along with BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi.
Addressing the gathering, Nitin Nabin said this was his first public engagement after becoming a Rajya Sabha MP, and that he had come not to be felicitated but to seek the blessings of the business community. He emphasised that traders are not merely engaged in commerce but also play a crucial role in driving the state’s economic growth. He noted that the contribution of traders and entrepreneurs is vital to Bihar’s development.
He stated that over the past 20 years, the BJP and NDA governments have undertaken historic initiatives to strengthen roads, governance, infrastructure and the business environment in Bihar. According to him, new avenues of development are opening up in the state, and the coming years will bring golden opportunities for the business community, particularly between 2025 and 2030.

Nitin Nabin further highlighted that the Bihar Government’s land pooling policy would provide fresh momentum to businesses. He said efforts are underway to develop a land bank, which would boost industrial growth and attract investment. The state’s Industries Department, he added, is consistently working towards creating a more investor-friendly environment.
Taking a swipe at opposition parties, he remarked that the kind of treatment meted out to traders in West Bengal under previous regimes, which adversely impacted industry and trade for decades, would never be allowed in Bihar. He asserted that a BJP-led government is committed to supporting business and investment.

He also said that the emerging positive political climate in West Bengal in favour of the BJP would benefit not only Bihar but the entire eastern region of India. In the coming years, he added, the Bihar Government would work with full commitment to empower traders, aiming to transform the state into a major investment hub alongside its agricultural strength.
Business leaders present at the event expressed confidence in the government’s industrial and investment policies and warmly felicitated Nitin Nabin.
