Orientation Programme ’26 at NIFT Patna Enters Second Day with Insightful Academic Sessions and Student Engagement
Patna: The second day of Orientation Programme ’26 at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna, was conducted with a series of informative sessions aimed at familiarizing the newly admitted students with the institute’s academic ecosystem, administrative processes, and student support services. The day commenced with student attendance, followed by interactive sessions delivered by the Joint Director, Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts), Regional Industry Coordinator (RIC), Cluster Initiative Coordinator (CIC), Coordinator for International & Domestic Linkages (CI&DL), Student Development Activity Cell (SDAC), Resource Centre (RC), and the Controller of Examinations (COE). These sessions provided the 201 newly admitted students with valuable insights into academic regulations, scholarships, industry connect, international opportunities, examination processes, and various institutional facilities available at NIFT Patna.

Speaking on the occasion, Col. Rahul Sharma, Director, NIFT Patna, reiterated the institute’s commitment to nurturing creative excellence, professional ethics, and innovation among students. He encouraged the freshers to make the most of the diverse academic, industry, research, and extracurricular opportunities available at NIFT. Emphasizing the institute’s learner-centric approach, he highlighted that orientation is the first step towards building confident, socially responsible, and globally competent professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to the fashion and design industry. He also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the newly admitted students and their eagerness to become an integral part of the NIFT community.

The post-lunch sessions focused on helping students develop a deeper understanding of campus life and student engagement. The “Know Your Department” session enabled students to interact with faculty members and departmental teams, while an expert session on Gender Sensitization sensitized them to the importance of equality, respect, and inclusivity in academic and professional environments. The day concluded on an energetic note with a Talent Showcase and Ice-Breaking Session organized by the Student Development Activity Cell (SDAC), where students enthusiastically showcased their talents and interacted with their peers in an informal setting. The lively activities fostered friendship, confidence, and teamwork, creating a welcoming environment for the newest members of the NIFT Patna family and setting the stage for the concluding day of Orientation Programme ’26.
