Patna: The new dates for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam, which was canceled due to a paper leak, have been announced. The examination will be conducted again between August 7 and August 28. The Commission has communicated this schedule to all the district magistrates of the state.

According to the Commission’s letter to the District Magistrates, the Bihar Police Recruitment Exam will be held on August 7, 11, 18, 21, 25, and 28. The exam will be conducted in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm. Approximately 18 lakh candidates have applied for a total of 21,391 vacant posts.

In 2023, the constable recruitment exam was held on October 1 but was subsequently canceled after a paper leak was discovered. Following an investigation into the paper leak, the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) revealed that Sanjeev Mukhiya, who was previously involved in leaking the NEET paper, was also responsible for leaking the constable recruitment exam paper. The paper was leaked four days before the scheduled exam and was distributed to candidates.
