Muzaffarpur Dominate Samastipur with Stellar Performances in Under-16 Cricket Showdown

Begusarai, June 5: Muzaffarpur began their campaign with a resounding win in the Central Zone of the Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament. Top-order batsmen Rajveer Anand (43 runs), Swayam Pratap (47 runs), and Kushdev Prasad Singh (45 runs) showcased brilliant batting, while Prem Tiwari’s exceptional bowling (5 wickets) led Muzaffarpur to a 127-run victory over Samastipur.

The match, played at the local Barauni Fertilizer ground, saw Muzaffarpur’s captain winning the toss and opting to bat first. Muzaffarpur posted a total of 232 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 40 overs.

For Muzaffarpur, Rajveer Anand scored 43 runs with 5 fours in 60 balls, Swayam Pratap scored 47 runs with 7 fours in 85 balls, Kushdev Prasad Singh scored 45 runs with 8 fours in 42 balls, and Ujjwal Kashyap added 29 runs.

In response, Samastipur was all out for 105 runs in 24.1 overs. Shashwat Vats contributed 29 runs and Shaurya Ranjan scored 14 runs. For Muzaffarpur, Prem Tiwari took 5 wickets and Akshat Ujjwal claimed 2 wickets.
