Patna: On the occasion of former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s birthday, his father and RJD chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav, posted a heartfelt message on the social media platform X, commending his son’s dedication to public service.
Lalu wrote, “Dear Tejashwi, on your birthday, I pray to God that you are blessed with courage, strength, health, energy, self-confidence, and unwavering willpower. Continue to serve the people tirelessly, without bowing down. May you keep lighting the torch of socialism with your dedication.”
In his message, Lalu urged Tejashwi to remain committed to protecting the dignity of the Constitution, social justice, secularism, and democracy. He expressed hope that Tejashwi’s promises to provide employment for the youth, improve health and education, safeguard the rights of farmers and workers, and uphold respect for women will be realised. “I hope, pray, and believe you will fulfil all your resolutions,” he added.
Lalu further advised his son to seek out the people whenever in need of support, encouraging him to prioritise those who are “positive, energetic, progressive, disciplined, dedicated, principled, loyal, and honest.” He praised Tejashwi for embodying these values, emphasising that greatness lies not in position or power but in character and principles.
Reflecting on Tejashwi’s journey, Lalu noted, “At 35, you have already witnessed many ups and downs and have learned a great deal. Sometimes I reflect on my own life between the ages of 25 and 35, and when I look at you now, I feel both proud and fulfilled.” He concluded with blessings, hoping that Tejashwi will continue to be a beacon for Bihar’s progress, adding, “You were, are, and always will be of the people.”
Lalu ended with a fond wish, “Happy birthday, Babu. Lots of love and blessings.”
